Do your part and look good while doing it

The fashion world is continuously evolving, and trends are coming in and out before we even have the chance to enter our credit card information. While trends in the fashion realm change overnight, sustainable second-hand clothing has not only made its comeback but has proven that it is here to stay. Second-hand stores like the Salvation Army, Goodwill, and local thrift shops are no longer seen as shopping destinations for individuals of a lower socioeconomic status but instead stores that hold hidden gems.

Crazy enough, shopping sustainably has become a newfound hobby for many. “Thrifting” has become a verb frequently used by young millennials and Gen Z to describe hopping from second-hand store to second-hand store and browsing through the racks. Sustainable fashion not only appeals to consumers because of its environmental benefits but also because of the experience it provides the consumer. The uncertainty of what can be found keeps us coming back week after week.

Despite the fun and thrill of shopping second-hand, it can be highly time-consuming. The lack of organization can cause the hunt for a shirt for a date night shirt to take hours. LA Retro simplifies this process. Our goal is to streamline the process for our #LAretrogirlbabes. We want to help you find the unique piece of your dreams, support our planet by shopping sustainably, and take a stance against fast fashion.

Do your part to protect Mother Earth and look good while doing it.
